Through the success of the first shop The Inkdrop Franchise Company was launched at the National Franchise Exhibition in October 2004. The Company is continuing to build its excellent reputation on the quality of the cartridges and the service that it supplies, which is second to none.

The Inkdrop is enjoying continued growth both domestically and internationally. In the UK there are now more than 10 franchisees in operation. There are also negotiations at global level to roll out the brand further internationally. What makes The Inkdrop different?

The InkdropThe Inkdrop is a more sophisticated concept to the standard cartridge re-filling operations. Our franchisees do not refill on site. We re-manufacture our own cartridges under laboratory conditions to avoid any cross contamination of colours. Inkdrop cartridges are an alternative to the original for both corporate and home users. Through our extensive supplier network and agreements we are able to satisfy our customers through sourcing even the most difficult sought after brands.

Your new business will be an asset to the community! As well as supplying an environmentally friendly product we offer a collection service for used cartridges which are then recycled.

Our franchisees operate from smart, well designed retail units usually situated in secondary shopping areas. They sell direct to home users but their main business comes from the local business to business market. Across our franchisee network The Inkdrop supplies hundreds of schools, solicitors, accountants & many other professional businesses with repeat custom time after time. Customers demand good value, high quality products, quickly and that’s exactly what our franchisees deliver. Inkdrop customers leave not with a refill or a top up but a fully remanufactured Inkdrop cartridge in an Inkdrop box. This creates unrivaled brand awareness.

Inkdrop customers do not have to wait for a cartridge to be re-filled and it also doesn’t matter if they haven’t got an empty cartridge because our franchisees stock a comprehensive range of inkjets and toners – remanufactured and original, so there is never any need to turn customers away. This gives our franchisees the time and opportunity to build relationships with their customers. As well as the range of inkjet and toners Inkdrop franchisees also stock a complimentary range of inkjet papers, cameras, sat nav systems, printers and other related products whilst also offering design & print, photocopying, laminating & binding services.

Angela and I joined the Ink Drop family in June 2005.

We had both worked for multi national companies for over 47 years (Combined, we’re still young!).

We decided that we wanted to try something different, as both of us had a dream of working for ourselves, but afraid of the risks involved. We decided to look at franchising because as an already established brand, you had the experience of the master franchisor, a supply chain in place, and assistance in setting up your business.
