Jan-Pro was founded by Jacques Lapointe in Providence, Rhode Island in 1991. Lapointe's aim was to grow a local commercial cleaning company through a national platform. Jan-Pro is now the largest commercial cleaning company in the world with locations in the US, Canada, Australia, Bahamas, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Mexico, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Franchise System
Jan-Pro offer three kinds of franchise opportunities: international franchise opportunities; executive business opportunities; and home-based opportunities.
Franchisees are encouraged to apply their previous experience and skills, such as leadership and management skills, in operating a franchise. Master franchisees can grow their businesses through marketing, training and business management while the local franchise owners carry out an excellent cleaning service. Regional master franchisees support a local team of single-unit franchisees. Jan-Pro provides master franchisees with multiple revenue streams, including monthly support fees, royalties and insurance fees.
Jan-Pro franchisees complete extensive training on the brand standards, latest technologies, the brand process, cleaning techniques and a checklist of services. Jan-Pro also use the EnviroShield system, which clings to surfaces while killing bacteria.
Jan-Pro customises its cleaning to suit the customer’s needs, and they serve a wide range of industries including offices, day care centres, gyms, restaurants, schools/universities, religious buildings and industrial/manufacturing facilities.
