About This Video
| Transmed distributes everything from meat and live lobster to cheeses across cold-chain rooms, runs roughly 2,500 megawatt-hours per year on the site in question — about 1.2 million dirhams of annual energy cost — and had set a corporate sustainability agenda the customer wanted to deliver against. Best Energy's deployment runs on Eniscope monitoring three primary variables: energy at compressor and asset level, temperature live across rooms, and door activity through the air-and-sensor digital layer. From that telemetry the team could prolong defrost cycles without affecting temperature, sequence compressors on and off across the day to drop consumption, and add the brand's Q's product to differentiate air temperature from food temperature for further waste reduction. The customer also swapped manual cold-room doors for sensor-controlled doors after seeing the historical data on door activity. The savings are presented with proper measurement honesty. Initial study set a 17% target; the customer is on track to reach 33% on specific rooms; year-to-date the program has delivered 16% across the assets currently monitored — about 9% of the entire site bill given partial coverage. Transmed operates in 10 markets and is expanding, opening the door to a multi-site rollout for the partner. |
