ServiceMaster was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1929 by Marion E. Wade. It became incorporated in 1947, and became one of America’s first franchise businesses in 1952. In 1962 they pioneered third-party outsourcing, and launched their service in the healthcare industry. During the 1980's they expanded their range of commercial services.
Today their franchised services include fire and water disaster restoration, janitorial, commercial, residential, and floor care services. They operate in 12 countries around the world and serve over one million customers through their network of services. The company continues to operation under the same beliefs of Marion Wade: to deliver exceptional service and quality to customers.
