Andrew Mikhail, Valenta BPO Partner
No stranger to owning his own business, Andrew Mikhail has a deep background in engineering, but also strong project management and problem-solving capabilities. He spent over a decade working with small businesses in one way or another, and owned two companies himself. That experience has given him unique insight into the challenges small businesses face when it comes to competing and handling projects of all sizes.
Today, Andrew is one of the most successful Valenta BPO partners and is dedicated to helping small and medium businesses realise the benefits available through process consulting, digital transformation and outsourcing. He brings passion, knowledge, and in-depth experience to the table, combined with unique strategies designed to help clients grow and succeed. We recently caught up with Andrew to delve into his insights into business ownership and entrepreneurial success.
Why Did You Choose Valenta BPO?
Having owned several successful businesses in the past, I recognised the value offered by the Valenta business model. Really, the entire platform ticked all the boxes. However, before committing, I spent six months researching and exploring over 20 other business opportunities. Ultimately, none of them offered what Valenta delivered, and none could approach the key advantages of the business model, such as:
- Guaranteed constant income
- Significant value for the money
- Continuous support and training to achieve higher goals
- Large-scale domestic and global presence
- A company dedicated to ongoing growth and expansion
Do You Have Advice for Anyone Buying a Business?
I think the most important thing is to do your research. Speak with people already involved in the business and get their feedback. Learn everything you can from their experience before you make a decision one way or another.
Who Is Your Most Important Advisor and Why?
My partner is my most important advisor. Having my partner involved in the business helps us make decisions together and grow stronger, both in a business sense, and as partners.
What Is the Best Business Advice You’ve Ever Received?
It’s simple, really, and focused on just getting back up and trying again when life knocks you down. “The difference between a master and a beginner is that the master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”
Do You Have Any Tips on How to Get the Most Out of Your Business?
Work with Valenta’s team. Take advantage of what they bring to the table. They’re professional, come from many different backgrounds, and offer a diverse range of experience. I use their team to learn and explore different ways of thinking and to find solutions to particularly challenging problems.
What Is the Key Factor in Your Current Business Success?
I can’t say that there’s just one. That’s too simplistic for something as complex as running a successful company. However, I do think we can distil it down to three “rules”. These are:
Always think outside the box.
There’s always a way and no problem without a solution.
The more work you put in, the greater the reward will be in the end.
